I’m Emanuele Pizzolorusso, an Helsinki based designer who loves creating meaningful experiences and studying the interaction between users and products.
Italian, I studied Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano before moving to Helsinki, where I grew professionally as freelancer and learned from many inspiring collaborations.
I love crossing disciplines, working with people, and co-creating things that leave a mark.
Some of my designs, like Crumpled City Maps and Lucetta, have reached people worldwide. Now, I’m excited to join a larger team, take new challenges, and keep learning.

My Experience.
-
Translating user experiences into innovative ideas for products, using a user-centered approach.
-
This is the core of my expertise: trasforming ideas into practical, visually appealing products. Taking care of everything from initial sketches to final prototypes.
-
While not my primary focus, I have learned to manage the consistent alignment of products and brand tone. This can include coordinating imagery, colors, typography, and creating logos.
-
User Centered Design has been a part of my work as a designer for physical products. Recently, I’ve been diving deeper through a more systematic study of the discipline.
Beyond Work.
Outside of design, I’m a father of two amazing children, who constantly inspire my ability to surprise myself and look at things from different perspectives. I love playing tennis and I’m a certified coach, having teached tennis during different stages of my life. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and exploring topics related to science and economics.
